Rapid Response

We work in tandem with the American Association of University Professors, the African American Policy Forum, the UCLA Critical Race Studies program, and other organizations that support the academic freedom to teach, write, and govern our academic institutions.

• Our members are available to write letters or draft petitions to support critical legal scholars and affiliated administrators who have been attacked or who are in a vulnerable situation due to an institutional or political climate hostile to academic freedom.

• We support institutional initiatives that promote critical legal scholarship and teaching.

• We support institutional efforts to reckon honestly with the sometimes painful and complex legacies of past and ongoing systems of oppression.
